HISTORY
The town of Agaete was founded in 1481 and is a Spanish municipality located in the northwest of the island of Gran Canaria, belonging to the province of Las Palmas. Agaete enchants you with its landscapes, its history, and the ‘Culetos’ (a term used to refer to the people of Agaete), who are very cheerful people and open their doors to any tourist.
The climate in Gran Canaria is known to be one of the best in the world. In summer, temperatures usually do not exceed 30 degrees Celsius, and in winter, they typically do not drop below 15 degrees.
Just 30 minutes away, you’ll find many hiking trails.
The natural pools with crystal-clear water are a 15-minute walk away.
The coffee from Agaete is of the Arabica Typica variety, cultivated on the island for over two centuries and coveted for its flavor and aroma. It’s a smooth and elegant coffee with a full body and hints of licorice, fruits, and chocolate, with a sweeter taste than others.
